Rockstar researchers spent over one hundred days traveling around Los Santos and studying its geography, taking thousands of photographs and hours of video. All this data was then processed into an accurate representation of an imagined city.
GTA franchise’s popularity stems primarily from its wild online component; however, the base game’s story is equally engaging and impressive in its own right. Music
GTAV was the first game in its series to feature an original score that was composed and engineered to respond dynamically to players actions both during missions and open world gameplay. A team of legendary producers and composers including Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson (Red Dead Redemption/L.A. Noire), The Alchemist/Oh No and more collaborated to craft this groundbreaking score for GTAV.
Many of these musicians were also responsible for creating the licensed music that can be heard on in-game radio stations, as well as contributing to its official soundtrack which has been released on iTunes in three volumes and includes some of this licensed material alongside its original score.
Radio stations will feature FlyLo with Krayzie Bone’s “Meditation Medication”, as well as tracks by DJ Shadow from DOOM and Tyler, The Creator of The Chain Gang’s remix of 1974’s “Sleepwalking”, featured prominently in the game trailer.
